Painted Elk Robe – Artist
Mike McLeod is an enrolled member of the Chippewa Bad River Band. Raised by his grandparents, Mike began to draw and paint as a youngster. Inspired by history and western art, he is known for painted hides, beaded pouches, breastplates and clothing. Many of his designs are drawn from 19th Century pictographics. This Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Decanter is a limited edition decanter from the private collection of retired Jack Daniel Master Distiller, Jimmy Bedford. The decanter is a collector’s piece due to the unique etchings on each side of the decanter – one recognizing Bedford’s “contribution to Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey becoming the No. 1 selling whiskey in the world” and the other, a portrait of Bedford at the distillery, with an inscription acknowledging Bedford’s tenure as “Jack Daniel Master Distiller 1988 – 2008”.
